Who is KidsEat!?

KidsEat! is a division of Kidproof Safety, the leading provider of personal safety programs for children. The team at Kidproof decided it was time that we used our connections to help kids make healthier choices when it came to eating right and offering guidance to parents and educators that are faced with new changes in the food and nutrition guidelines. It is for this reason we created KidsEat Culinary for all things to do with healthy eating and living for kids.

Why should my school order from KidsEat!?

Kidproof KidsEat! Culinary is not just another lunch provider. In addition to offering great food, we teach kids to choose healthy lifestyles by helping provide healthy, affordable and nutritionally balanced lunches to Elementary school aged kids.

Where do you deliver?

We deliver to almost every school district in the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley of B.C., and are
adding areas weekly.

Do KidsEat! lunches meet the new BC Guidelines for food and beverage sales in schools?

Yes! KidsEat! exceeds the minimum requirement of the Guidelines for Food and Beverage Sales to schools Our menu provides a selection that includes 85% Choose Most items and 15% Choose Sometimes items. Click for a complete nutrition analysis

Are KidsEat! foods listed on the Brand Name Food List for BC?

Yes! KidsEat! meals have all been analyzed by a certified nutritionist and entered into the Dietician of Canada's analysis system. This means that we are one of the few children's caterers that can be listed on the Brand Name Food List of approved foods. We are very proud!

How do I choose which meals I would like to have offered at my school?

KidsEat! menus can be found online http://www.kidproofsafety.com/kidseatmenu.htm or our KidsEat!
coordinator will fax or email them to you. Simply decide if you wish to have a fell meal option or individual items. Then make your selections from each category (entree, side, dessert and drink) and we will be happy to send you a personalized order form for your school.

Do you have any meatless/vegetarian options?

Yes. Every menu item can be prepared as a meatless option.

Where is your food prepared/delivered from?

Our food is prepared and delivered from the KidsEat! Culinary commercial kitchen in South Surrey.

How do you help kids learn about making good food choices?

We are all about education and understand that it takes a lot more than a few lunches a month to help kids make healthy lifestyle choices for the rest of their lives. KidsEat! Culinary offers FREE a one hour Nutrition Workshop to all of our KidsEat participating schools for grades 2 - 7.

How are the meals packaged and delivered?

We use thermal lunch bags or Insulated professional catering bags are separated by division or teacher. Each division bag contains the entire student orders along with an easy to read order sheet to help teachers / lunch monitors hand out the lunches.

All KidsEat packaging is all made of recycled materials, and we are committed to using as much recyclable packaging as possible.

What about peanuts/nuts?

Our kitchen is absolutely nutfree, and we do not use nuts or nut by-products in any of our recipes. However, we cannot guarantee that any food from an outside source has not been exposed to nuts or traces of nuts. Because of this, students with severe allergies are not recommended to order.

Our school used to do hot dog days, can KidsEat help us?

KidsEat! offers many specialty items such as the Hot Diggity Dog Lunch Pak which meets all the guidelines and even includes donuts! Ask about our Canteen Pak that includes snacks, donuts, cookie on a stick, cinnamon buns, drinks, popcorn and other great stacks that kids love.

How do we include our school in your delivery schedule?

It's easy!

We can add schools to our delivery schedule at any time, however, it may take up to 2 weeks before the first meal can be delivered.

If parents of your school wish to order KidsEat! for their kids, and you are not already on our delivery school, please fill out our delivery form (bottom of page) or give us a call at 604-541-9264 x 101. We will do our best to include your school within a 2 week turn around.

Do schools need to do anything to offer KidsEat! to their parents?

If you wish to include your school all you have to do is fill out the form below to request your school be included in the schedule.

We will contact you to confirm your request and get the details on your school, lunch time and order schedule. Once you have selected your menu (or we can do it for you if you like) we will custom design an order form that you can use to distribute to your school community.

Our school wants to have KidsEat! on our regular hot lunch program, how do we sign up?

KidsEat! a fantastic adition to your school wide lunch program. Delivery can be once per month or ever week, it's your choice! Our menu is large enough to offer a variety of meals throughout the entire school year.

Remember, the more you order, the more funds raised for your school.
