After studying criminology, Samantha began her career in law enforcement in 1994. Though she investigated everything from shoplifting to suicide, her focus was always crimes against kids (a specialization bolstered by courses she took on pedophilia and sexual deviancy against children).  And Samantha realized that these horrible, impossible-to-comprehend crimes were nearly always preventable, but that the general public didn’t have the information it needed to keep kids and teens safe, so she formed Kidproof in 2000 to do just that.  Clearly it was needed – within six years, Samantha won the TOP 40 Under 40 business award and employs hundreds of people across North America.
